Before this, I was only writing about my feelings and events in my relationships.
All three of my relationships failed and ended on the 9th month. It was not really a good thing to talk about.
Anyway, now I decided to keep record of the things that I do yesterday in Kuala Lumpur.
Yesterday was one of the happiest moments in 2014. Because I found a company to walk around Kuala Lumpur, Erik from Netherlands.
Although it started and ended with a little bit of a disappointment. My current boyfriend, Samson, was not able to accompany me to visit this wonderful city because he does not like to do that, and with the reason that he has not change his passport. I don't want it to affect my mood in visiting Kuala Lumpur city. I decided to go on my own.
1. Batu Caves.
I hopped on a taxi to Putra Station in order to take a komuter to Batu Caves. The taxi fare was RM10 because I used an application, My Teksi, which add in RM2 to call for a taxi. Then from Putra Station to Batu Caves, it only cost me RM2. Very economical travelling style.
Batu Caves is beautiful with its structure. And here I met an exchange student from Netherlands, Erik. We traveled together for the day and we learn a lot about each other's culture and beliefs.
This was taken after I climbed up 272 steps for the stairs behind me.
My legs were shaking after finished climbing those stairs.
It was a great experience.
This was one of the views inside the caves.
This is the inside view of the cave. Believers were praying and therefore there were hymns and prayers when I was inside it.
It was really facinating to see monkeys and nature inside this caves with Hindu Gods statues all over the caves.
Because I was wearing shorts, I need to pay RM3 for the scarf around my hips before climbing the stairs to go their their sacret place.
I should get a front view instead of the back view of this large Hindu God.
2. Central market
From Batu Caves, Erik and I took the komuter to Kuala Lumpur Station. Then, we walked to Central market. Since he would like to collect keychains from different country, this is a very suitable place to go to.
Outside of Central market.
Erik now know what a "wau" is.
3. Petaling Street
It takes only 5-8 minutes walk from Central Market to Petaling Street. We talked abut anything and walked to petaling street. With the helps of KL citizens, we managed to get to Petaling Street.
4. Sri Mahamariamman Temple, Jalan Tun H S Lee
This is a Hindu Temple. We need to take off our shoes to enter this sacred place. Entrance is free.
This is the outside view before we come in.
I was given a scarf to cover my thighs because my shorts were improper in the temple.
This has been a great experience for me today because I have been inside Hindu temple twice. I was fascinated with hundreds of Gods in Hinduism.
5. Sin Sze Si Ya Temple, 14A, Leboh Pudu
This is a Taoism temple. It takes 5 minutes walk from Sri Mahamariamman Temple. The temple is dedicated to local deities Sin Sze Ye and Si Sze Ye, and is also the oldest Taoist temple in Kuala Lumpur, founded in the year 1864. A lot of incense was burnt. People were there to pray too.
6. Kuala Lumpur City Centre, Dataran Merdeka,Then, we walked back to Central Market, passed Muzium Tekstil to get here. It was tricky for us as the actual road was closed.
That pole is one of the tallest flag pole.
I am proud to be a Malaysian.
7. St. Mary's Cathedral
It was just behind Dataran Merdeka. However, we walked quite a distance to get to this place. For me, it was just a normal church-like building. Very cute and simple.
8. KL Tower
This was one of the highlights of the day. We walked around 40 minutes to get to KL Tower. It was really an adventure for me. But luckily, I met this guy therefore, the walking journey is more interesting.
Entrance free for the Open deck RM69 for Malaysian (MY KAD). RM99 for tourists(NO MY KAD).
It was really wonderful to see Kuala Lumpur from up above.
At the open deck...
In the observation deck...
There are a series of tower in the world.. from the tallest to the lowest tower.
I was with KL tower (421m tall)
taken from observatory deck
Before leaving, a random shot of KL tower
9. Aquaria KLCC
Walking.. walking.. walking....I don't remember how long...went into Suria KLCC and then, just walked walked and then found Aquaria KLCC.....
Entrance RM38 With MY KAD
Waiting for feeding time....
Very beautiful.. I felt like I am in the water already....happy and satisfied...
fish fish fish
This is me in Aquaria (with flash on) and was warned by the security to off it...
10. Petronas Twin Tower (park), Suria KLCC,
Walked in Suria KLCC to get to Petronas Twin Tower... we were kind of lost... strolling around the mall for some time... but enjoyed it very much..
At the park...behind me is.... you know well..
This is what you will see in the park and around it.
This shot will be more magnificent when it is taken during night time.
11. Bukit Bintang
We used the KLCC - Bukit Bintang Walkway to get to Bukit Bintang. Shopping time... but we didn't go shopping much.. How can I bring him go shopping?
Plus, my legs were really painful by the time we reached Bukit Bintang. We separated and walked around Bukit Bintang by ourself. I didn't go any place much due to the pain on my leg.. too sad to accept the truth....I really wish I can walked more until 8.30pm...
Actually, there were still a lot of places that I didn't managed to go. For example, museumssssss(Music, telecommunication, police, tekstil...) and Jalan Alor for the food.
I have at least spend my holiday with something meaningful...
